Who Is Eligible?
For 2026, Ohio households with income at or below 200% of the federal income guidelines may qualify.
Current annual household income limits include:
• 1-person household: $31,920
• 2-person household: $43,280
• 3-person household: $54,640
• 4-person household: $66,000
• 5-person household: $77,360
• 6-person household: $88,720
• 7-person household: $100,080
Households with more than seven members should contact their local Energy Assistance Provider for additional information.
Some households may also receive automatic income eligibility if they have received assistance within the past 12 months through certain programs, including:
• Home Energy Assistance Program
• Percentage of Income Payment Plan Plus
• Supplemental Security Income
• Temporary Assistance for Needy Families
An application is still required.
Who Receives Priority?
Priority may be given to:
• Adults over age 60
• Individuals with disabilities
• Households with children
• Homes with high energy usage
• Households experiencing a high energy cost burden
Renters may also qualify, although landlord approval is generally required before improvements can be completed.
